Early in the morning of Thursday 22nd of February, 2024, the team was callout out by Devon and Cornwall Police to help support a major incident in the Keyham area of Plymouth. Approximately 4000 homes within a 300m radius exclusion zone needed evacuating following the discovery of an unexploded WW2 ordinance.

Team members went door to door to help householders evacuate with their pets and belongings, in order to make the area safe for the bomb disposal team to undertake their work.

This was a major incident, attended by representatives from almost all emergency services and organizations, including the Police, Ambulance, and Fire and Rescue Services, and volunteers from the regions Mountain Rescue Teams, 4x4 Response Teams, and Coastguard Teams.
