Whilst on a multi-agency training exercise with Devon & Cornwall Police and a number of other rescue teams, one of the party came across an injured member of the public who had a suspected dislocated patella following a fall.
First aid was administered and, in a combined effort from the training teams and the ambulance service, the casualty was stabilised and carried to a waiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital.
This was an excellent example of the importance of multi-agency training events such as this.
