Please note that on the 7th & 8th July 2007,
the regional Co-Coordinating body for Mountain and Cave
Rescue in the South West ((SWERA) South West England Rescue
Association) are running a training conference at Middlemoor,
Exeter, the Head Quarters of Devon & Cornwall Police.
The weekend will have hands on sessions as well as lecture
sessions - each session should be repeated so it will be possible
to get to many different sessions.
On the Saturday and the
Sunday it is hoped to run the MR FPE (Fall Protection Equipment)
checking day. This is the course that Dave Warne and I
attended some months back and I would urge as
many team members as possible to put their name down for it - The FPE is a full days event.
There will be a small charge for the weekend and those
attending the FPE course there will again be a cost to cover
expenses and course materials.
There will be some accommodation available at Middlemoor
(costs - TBA) this is mainly for those coming from further away.
There will be a bar on the Saturday night and food throughout the weekend.

and keep this weekend FREE this will prove to a valuable weekend for all DCRO team members
