| Patrick
received a phone call from the owners of
Ruby, a young sheltie dog that had gone
missing after being exercised on Stowes
hill, Caradon. The dog was last seen around
a fenced area with a known open shaft
within, at around 09:50 the previous day.
The three of us made are way to the area
with the incident logged with the Police
through DCRO. The shat was rigged and Lionel
descended the shaft into the open stoped
area where the dog was discovered around
150ft below surface. Patrick was second
down, and the dog was placed into a "Dumpy
Bag", and hauled back to the surface by Big
Dave. Ruby was found to have only a few
muddy marks, but well shaken up. After a
visit to the vets, Ruby was given anti
biotic and pain killers, and was expected to
make a full recovery. |
